The Center for Faith & Scholarship, a Christian study center at the University of Michigan, begins its 2009-10 Film Series with the 2007 film “The Visitor.”  Would you be willing to forward this announcement to those associated with your ministry?  While the films are offered for entertainment, they also encourage Christian discernment.  The film is briefly introduced and there is a short discussion following the film. 
 
“The Visitor” tells the story of a recently-widowed college professor who is forced out of the comfortable (if rigid) patterns of his academic life when he visits New York City and find that his apartment is inhabited by two young immigrants who think they have a lease.  When one is arrested and threatened with deportation, some of the basic questions of life emerge.  What does integrity mean in a chaotic world?
