1. 본문 읽기: 13절과 20절을 여러분의 성경으로 찾아서 같이 읽읍시다.
Let’s open our Bibles to Revelation 22, and read verse 13 and verse 20 with our own Bibles.

2. 한글로 & 영어로 읽겠습니다.
We’ll read both languages. First in Korean and then in English.

[들어가는 말: 서론]
3. 한 해의 마지막 날입니다.
Today is the last day of 2019.

4. 몇 시간 후면 새로운 한 해를 시작하게 됩니다.
In just a few hours, we’ll be welcoming a new year.

5. 모두 한 살이 많아지게 되고, 교회적으로는 30살이 되는 해가 되기도 합니다.
We’ll all be a year older, and Hope Church will become 30 years old.

6. 우리 어린이들도 모두 한 살이 많아지는 시간입니다.
All of our Hope kids, you too will be a year older.

7. 소망 어린이들은 오늘 오늘 집에 가서 여러분의 키가 얼마인지 꼭 벽 한쪽에 기록해 놓으시기 바랍니다.
You guys should go home tonight and make a mark on the wall of how tall you are. 

8. 물론 부모님의 허락을 받고 기록해 보시기 바랍니다. ^^ (ppt*)
But I need to make this clear: please ask your parents first before you make the mark.

9. 그리고 한 해가 지난 시점, 즉 2020년 송구 영신 예배 드리고 집에 가서 한번 더 검사해 보시기 바랍니다.
And after a year from today, after the New Year’s Eve service of 2020, you should go home and check where you have made the mark and see how much you’ve grown.

10. 아마 조금씩이라도 성장했을 것입니다.
I’m sure you’ll be able to see some growth.

11. 이는 키에만 적용되지 않습니다.
And this doesn’t just just apply to measuring our height.

12. 우리의 생각, 삶, 자세, 신앙 등 여러 면에서 우리는 성장했는지, 변화되었는지, 늘 돌아 봐야 합니다.
We should always look back and see how much we have grown, how much we’ve been changed, in our thoughts, in our lives, in our attitudes, and in our faith.

13. 만약 성장하지 않았다면, 변화되지 않는다면, 우리는 진지하게 돌아 보아야 합니다.
If you do not see any growth, if you do not see any change, we should seriously reflect on our lives.

14. 꼭 기억해야 할 것이 있습니다.
There is one thing that we must remember.

15. 한가지 질문을 던지게 됩니다.
I want us to reflect on these questions:

16. 과연 나는 변화했는가?
Have I changed?

17. 어떻게 하면 변화될 것인가?
How can I be changed? How can I be transformed?

[처음과 나중/본질과 목표]
18. 요한계시록 처음부터 마지막까지 계속 반복되는 표현이 있습니다.
There is an expression that’s repeated throughout the book of Revelation.

19. 그것은 하나님은 알파와 오메가요, 처음과 나중이라는 말입니다.
It’s the description of God as Alpha and Omega, which means beginning and End.

20. 여기서 처음이라는 말은 본질(arche)이라는 말이고, 나중(telos)이라는 말은 목적, 혹은 목표라는 말입니다.
The word “beginning” means “essence,” and the word “end” means the purpose, or the goal.

21. 하나님은 우리의 본질 되시고, 또 우리의 목표를 이룩하시는 분이십니다.
What it’s saying is that God is the essense, and that He is the one who brings our lives to fulfillment.

22. 우리의 성장의 목표는 하나님의 목표을 이룩하는 삶임을 우리는 기억해야 합니다.
We must remember that the goal of our growth should be to fulfill God’s goal, to fulfill God’s purpose.

23. 성장이 있어야 어려움도 이겨내고, 목표를 이룩해야 삶의 의미와 능력, 가치도 있습니다.
We must grow in order to overcome difficulties, and we must fulfill our goals to find meaning and value in our lives.

[지혜와 능력의 책-요한 계시록]
24. 요한계시록은 이런 면에서 매우 중요한 책입니다.
In this way, Revelation is a very important book.

25. 성도에게 성장의 목표, 성장의 능력을 제공해 줌으로 초대 교회가 가졌던 엄청난 박해를 넉넉하게 이겨내게 해 준 책이기 때문입니다.
This book has provided the believers with the goal of growth, and the ability to grow, which has enabled them, the early Christians, to persevere through the persecution.

26. 실제로 이 요한 계시록을 통해서 12 사도들의 제자들인 이그나티우스 혹은 폴리캅과 같은 위대한 제자들이 등장하게 되었습니다.
In fact, the book of Revelation gave birth to great saints like Ignatius and Polycarp, who were the disciples of the 12 apostles.

27. 그리고 이들에 의해 초대 교회는 엄청난 박해를 이겨냈고, 심지어 로마 제국 또한 이겨 낼 수 있었습니다.
And through disciples like them, the early church was able to endure and even defeat the great persecution of the Roman Empire.

28. 그 모든 능력, 지혜의 원천이 바로 요한 계시록이었습니다.
And the book of Revelation was their source of strength and wisdom.

29. 새해, 저희는 어린이들이 키가 자라듯이, 지금의 상태를 넘어 성장, 변화, 새롭게 되고, 강력하게 성장하기를 원합니다.
In this new year, just as the kids grow each year, I pray that we’ll not remain where we are, but grow, change, and be renewed. I pray that we all will experience powerful growth.

30. 하나님 안에 올바른 목표, 목적, 우리가 추구해야 할 목표점이 있습니다.
Only in God can we find the right goal and purpose. Only in God can we find the proper goal that we should all seek.

31. 그리고 신기한 것은 하나님께서 주신 목표는 바로 본질이기에, 그 자체로 능력이 있습니다.
Because the goals that God gives us are also of the very essence, they have power in themselves.

32. 이를 잘 생각하셔야 합니다.
We must consider this carefully.

[성도와 교회의 목표] the goal of Christians and the church.
33. 세상은 목표과 방법이 분리 되어 있습니다.
In this world, the goal and process are often separated.

34. 그래서 수단과 방법을 가리지 않고 목표를 달성하면 좋다고 합니다.
They say that as long as you achieve the goal, how you get there doesn’t matter. The process doesn’t matter.

35. 그러나 그런 목표 달성은 결코 이 세상에 올바르지 않습니다.
But reaching the goal without the proper process is not right.

36. 그러나 하나님의 나라는 방법과 목표가 같습니다.
But in God’s kingdom, the goal and process go together.

37. 하나님 나라 목표 안에 본질이 들어가 있기에, 실은 방법과 목표가 같은 것입니다.
God’s kingdom defines both our goal and our process. We seek after God’s kingdom in the way of God’s kingdom.

38. 한 예가 “예배”입니다.
Let’s talk about “worship” as an example.

39. 예배는 성도의 본질이기도 하고, 목표이기도 합니다.
Worship is the essense of what is means to be Christian but worship is also the goal.

40. 예배를 잘 드릴 때, 본질이 회복되고, 또 삶의 목표도 달성합니다.
Through proper worship, our essence is renewed, and we also reach the goal of our life.

41. 이렇게 우리는 새해를 맞이하면서 성경적 목표, 기도제목을 세우기를 원합니다.
As we welcome this new year, I want us to establish goals and prayer requests that are true to Scripture.


42. 그래야 교회와 성도는 이 세상에 세상 나라가 아닌, 하나님 나라를 건설하게 됩니다.
Only by doing so can the church and Christians build not a worldly kingdom, but God’s kingdom in this world.

43. 초대 교회는 요한계시록을 통해 그런 본질과 목표를 가졌습니다.
The early church had the proper essence and goal through the book of Revelation.

44. 그렇게 해서 핍박도 이겼고, 로마 제국이라는 가장 강력한 제국 밑에서, 하나님 나라를 건설하며 참된 승리로 살았습니다.
By having this proper foundation, they overcame the persecution, and lived their lives establishing God’s kingdom even while living under the most powerful Roman Empire.

45. 오늘 설교후 개인별로, 가족 별로 기도 제목을 함께 나누고, 적는 시간을 갖게 될 것입니다.
After the message, we are going to have some time individually and with your family, to share and write down your prayer requests.

46. 저는 우리 소망 교회, 그리고 성도님들이 그런 성경적 목표를 새해 기도 제목으로 적기를 원합니다.
I pray that Hope Church and its members will write down goals and prayer requests that are true to Scripture.

47. 이를 위해서 성경이 말하는 올바른 목표를 몇가지 나눠 보겠습니다.
To help guide you in this exercise, let me share some proper goals that Scripture teaches us.

[1. 말씀생활] * The first is: Life in the Word

48. 계 1:3 “이 예언의 말씀을 읽는 자와 듣는 자와 그 가운데 기록한 것을 지키는 자는 복이 있나니 때가 가까움이라” “Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”

49. 하나님은 말씀으로 천지를 창조하셨습니다.
God created the world, God created heaven and earth through his Word.

50. 하나님께서 약속하신 말씀은 반드시 역사 속에서 반드시 지키셨습니다.
Throughout history, God has fulfilled every word that he has promised.

51. 성경 전체는 예수 그리스도의 구원과 심판을 핵심으로 말씀합니다.
All of Scripture points to the redemption and judgment of Jesus Christ.

52. 그래서 예수님을 말씀이라고 합니다.
So it says that Jesus is the Word.

53. 그리고 그 말씀이 육신이 되셔서 구원을 성취하셨고, 성령님께서는 그 말씀을 기록하셔서 우리에게 지금까지도 매일 말씀으로 인도하십니다.
And that Word became flesh and accomplished salvation, and the Holy Spirit, who inspired and wrote the Word, leads us daily into the Word.

54. 이 말씀은 우리를 찔러 쪼개서 새롭게 합니다.
This Word penetrates into our hearts and renews us.

55. 이 말씀은 우리에게 날마다 영의 양식이 됩니다.
The Word becomes the daily food for our soul.

56. 그래서 새해, 말씀으로 나아가는 삶은 가장 강력한 삶을 살게 됩니다.
And in this new year, you can experience a powerful life with God when you live in the Word.

57. 성경 통독, 성경 읽기, 말씀 듣기 등 매일 말씀과 함께 하기를 원합니다.
So I want to encourage us to devote ourselves to daily reading of Scripture, and listening to Scripture.

[2. 교회생활] *The second is: church life
58. 1:20 “네가 본 것은 내 오른손의 일곱 별의 비밀과 또 일곱 금 촛대라 일곱 별은 일곱 교회의 사자요 일곱 촛대는 일곱 교회니라” The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
59. 두번째는 교회입니다.
The second goal is the church.

60. 교회는 방주입니다. 그리고 하늘 문을 열고 닫는 천국 열쇄를 가진 곳입니다.
The church is the Ark. Like Noah’s Ark. The church has the key to open and close the doors of heaven.

61. 교회가 생명력있을 때, 성도는 함께 살게 되고, 세상은 길을 보게 됩니다.
When the church is healthy and vibrant, its members can truly live and the world will see the true way to life.

62. 교회를 위해서 늘 기도하시기 바랍니다.
Please always pray for our church.

63. 우리 교회는 30주년이 되는 해 입니다.
We’ll be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Hope Church this new year.

64. 교회가 진짜 가족이 되고, 교회가 물이 새지 않는 방주가 되고, 교회가 광야 같은 세상에 길을 보여 주는 곳이 되기를 원합니다.
I pray that our church will truly be like family, that our church will be the ark of salvation that has no leaks, that our church will show this wilderness like world the true way.

65. 그래야 교회 다니는 여러분들이 살게 됩니다.
These things must happen for all of us to truly live!

66. 교회가 바르게 되고, 살아 있어야, 세상이 바르게 가고, 세상이 살게 됩니다.
The church first should be on the right path and be alive, in order for the world to be on the right path and truly live.

67. 몸에 여러 지체가 있듯이, 교회는 모든 지체들이 함께 세움으로 바르게 세워져 갑니다.
Like the body has many members, the church should build up its every member for it to stand in the right way.

68. 여기 계신 모든 분들이 교회에서 한분도 빠짐없이 계셔야 할 소중한 존재입니다.
We need every one of you. Each of you is an essential/precious member of the body.

69. 옆 사람에게 말합시다. ‘바로 당신이 교회입니다’ ‘우리가 교회입니다’
Let’s say to the person next to us: “You are the church.” “We are the church.”

[3. 예배자의 삶] The third goal is life of worship.
70. 4:9 “그 생물들이 보좌에 앉으사 세세토록 살아 계시는 이에게 영광과 존귀와 감사를 돌릴 때에 이십사 장로들이 보좌에 앉으신 이 앞에 엎드려 세세토록 살아 계시는 이에게 경배하고 자기의 관을 보좌 앞에 드리며 이르되 우리 주 하나님이여 영광과 존귀와 권능을 받으시는 것이 합당하오니 주께서 만물을 지으신지라” Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things,

71. 하나님만이 완벽하십니다.
Only God is perfect

72. 완벽하게 창조하셨고, 완벽하게 구원하셨고, 완벽하게 이 세상을 이끌어 가십니다.
And this perfect God perfected his creation, perfected his redemption, and leads this world to a perfect end.

73. 성경에서 7은 완전수, 즉 하나님을 의미하는 숫자입니다.
In Scripture, number 7 symbolizes “perfection” and “completeness.” It symbolizes God.

74. 그런데 6은 하나님처럼 되려고 하는 인간의 숫자입니다.
But number 6 symbolizes humans who try to become like God.

75. 성경에 나오는 666은 인간이 하나님이 되려고 하는 무너질 바벨탑을 말합니다.
The number 666 in Scripture points to the tower of Babel where humans try to be like God.

76. 우리는 하나님만을 의지해야 합니다.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, we must rely on God and God alone.

77. 하나님만이 완전하신 분이시기 때문입니다.
Because he is the only one who is perfect.

78. 그 하나님만을 의지하는 것이 바로 예배이고, 이 예배는 삶의 가장 큰 능력입니다.
And relying wholly on this God is worship, and worship is where we find our life’s greatest source of strength.

79. 다 있어도 예배가 없으면 가장 무능합니다.
If you have everything yet do not have worship, your life is powerless.

80. 다 없어도 예배가 있으면 가장 강력합니다.
But if you have nothing yet have worship, your life is most powerful.

81. 삶의 현장에서 예배자가 되시는 매일, 매 순간의 삶이 되시기를 바랍니다.
I pray that you’ll be a true worshipper in every moment, in every day of your life.


82. 사람을 바라보면서 하나님께서 그 관계 중간에 있을 때 관계는 가장 강력한 삶이 됩니다.
Even in our interactions with others, only when we have God at the center, can we truly experience the most powerful relationship.

83. 물질과 하나님을 겸하여 섬길 수 없기에, 하나님이 하나님 되실 때 물질 영역도 인색하지도 않게 되고, 또 헤프게 무절제하게 살지도 않게 됩니다.
Because we cannot worship God and money, only when we worship God in his rightful place, can we be generous in sharing our resources, and also steward our resources well.

84. 삶의 전 영역에서 예배자가 되실 때 하나님의 나라 모습을 이 땅에서 살게 됩니다.
When we worship God in all of our lives, we can live on earth as it is in heaven. We can live the life of God’s kingdom here and now.

85. 우리 교회에서 멀지 않은 아이젠하워 거리에 777 빌딩이 있습니다. (사진 ppt *)
On Eisenhower street not too far from our church, there is a building with the number 777.

86. 저는 그 거리를 지날 때 마다 이 앤아버가 666의 도시가 아니라, 777의 도시, 즉 완벽하신 하나님을 의지하고, 경배하는 도성이 되도록 기도합니다.
Everytime I drive by that street, I pray that Ann Arbor would not be a city of 666, but a city of 777. A city that relies and worships our perfect God.

87. 앤아버가 예배의 도시가 되도록 기도합시다!
Let’s remember to pray for Ann Arbor, that it would be city of worship.

[4. 십자가의 삶] the fourth goal is: life of the cross
88. 5:4 “그 두루마리를 펴거나 보거나 하기에 합당한 자가 보이지 아니하기로 내가 크게 울었더니 장로 중의 한 사람이 내게 말하되 울지 말라 유대 지파의 사자 다윗의 뿌리가 이겼으니 그 두루마리와 그 일곱 인을 떼시리라 하더라” I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

89. 그렇습니다. 이 세상의 모든 막힌 것을 여는 것은 죽임 당한 어린양, 십자가 밖에 없습니다.
Yes, the cross, the lamb that has been slain, is the only thing that can open everything that has been blocked.

90. 예수님의 십자가가 우리 삶에 있을 때, 우리는 모든 막힌 것을 열게 됩니다.
When we have the cross of Jesus in our lives, we can experience what was once blocked becoming open.

91. 풀리지 않는 죄의 문제를 해결하게 됩니다.
Through the power of the cross, we can experience freedom from sins that once chained us.

92. 인간관계가 해결됩니다.
Through the cross, we can experience reconciliation in our relationships.



93. 예수 그리스도의 이름을 의지할 때, 기도할 때, 참된 능력과 응답을 받게 됩니다.
By relying on and praying in the name of Jesus Christ, we can experience true power and answer to our prayers.

94. 나의 삶에 십자가가 내 삶의 모든 능력의 원천입니다.
The cross becomes the very foundation, the source of power of our lives.

95. 살면서 막힐 때가 있습니까?
Do you experience roadblocks in your life?

96. 살면서 문제가 해결 되지 않을때가 있습니까?
Are there times where your problems are not resolved?

97. 살면서 괴로워서 죽을 것 같은 때가 있습니까?
Are there times where you feel like dying?

98. 십자가의 예수 그리스도를 의지하십시다.
Let us rely and hold on to Jesus Christ!

99. 우리 모든 죄를 다 이기고, 부활하신 주님께서 우리에게 힘을 주실 것입니다. 아멘? 아멘!
Our resurrected Lord, who has defeated sin and death, will give us strength. Amen? Amen!

[5. 기도자] the fifth goal is: life in prayer
100. 8:3 “또 다른 천사가 와서 제단 곁에 서서 금 향로를 가지고 많은 향을 받았으니 이는 모든 성도의 기도와 합하여 보좌 앞 금 제단에 드리고자 함이라 향연이 성도의 기도와 함께 천사의 손으로부터 하나님 앞으로 올라가는지라 천사가 향로를 가지고 제단의 불을 담아다가 땅에 쏟으매 우레와 음성과 번개와 지진이 나더라” Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel's hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

101. 요한 계시록에 나타나는 일곱 인, 일곱 나팔, 일곱 대접 등은 많은 고난과 핍박이 있는 상황을 묘사한 것입니다.
The seven seals, seven trumpets, seven bowls that come up in the Book of Revelation represent suffering and persecution.

102. 그 고난은 외적인 고난도 있고, 내면적인 고난도 있습니다.
This suffering entails external and internal suffering.

103. 관계적인 고난도 있고, 영적으로 핍박을 받는 고난도 있습니다.
There’s suffering that comes through relationships, there’s suffering that comes from spiritual persecution.

104. 심지어는 죽임을 당하는 순교의 고난도 있습니다.
There’s even suffering that comes through martyrdom.

105. 그럴 때 마다 기도는 가장 큰 능력을 발휘 했습니다.
And in all those moments, prayer has been the most powerful weapon.
106. 기도는 반드시 하나님께서 들으시고, 하나님만이 주시는 하늘의 답으로 응답하십니다.
Our God hears all of our prayers, and He responds those prayers in his perfect ways.

107. 그래서 저는 소망의 성도님들이 기도자가 되기를 원합니다.
So my prayer is that all members of Hope Church will live a life of prayer.

108. 기도자가 될 때, 문제를 보는 자들이 아니라 하늘의 응답을 받음으로 문제의 해결자가 됩니다.
When we live a life of prayer, instead of seeing the problems, we live in confidence with the response that comes from God.

109. 그래서 모든 상황 마다 기도하기를 원합니다.
So I want to invite us to pray in every situation.

110. 그래서 저는 모든 기도회를 참석하려고 애를 씁니다.
That’s why I try my best to attend every prayer services.

111. 왜냐하면 그만큼 기도는 이 시대, 너무나 필요함을 깨닫습니다.
Because I realize the urgency, the importance of prayer in this generation that we live in.

112. 서로 모여 함께 기도해야 됩니다.
We must gather together to pray.

113. 새해, 소망의 모든 가족들이 살아있는 기도, 모든 상황에서 기도자가 되기를 간절히 간절히 소망합니다.
I prayer that all of Hope church members will live a life of prayer this new year, praying in all circumstances.

[6. 선교적 삶] the sixth goal is living a missional life.
114. 7:9 “이 일 후에 내가 보니 각 나라와 족속과 백성과 방언에서 아무도 능히 셀 수 없는 큰 무리가 나와 흰 옷을 입고 손에 종려 가지를 들고 보좌 앞과 어린 양앞에 서서 큰 소리로 외쳐 이르되 구원하심이 보좌에 앉으신 우리 하나님과 어린 양에게 있도다 하니…” After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

115. 그렇습니다. 하나님의 나라는 모든 백성에게 복음이 증거될 때 이룩됩니다.
Yes, God’s Kingdom will be fulfilled when the gospel is spread to all people and all nations.

116. 교회는 모든 나라, 모든 백성, 모든 세대, 모든 문화, 모든 민족들을 늘 생각해야 합니다.
So the church should always be thinking of every nation, every people, every generation, and every culture.

117. 저희가 섬기는 선교지 지역과 선교사님들을 위해서 늘 기도합시다.
Let us be in prayer for the missionaries and the mission fields that our church supports.


118. 그리고 세계 곳곳에서 와서 모든 민족들이 살고 있는 이 앤아버 땅이 바로 선교지임을 기억합시다.
And let us know remember that Ann Arbor is also a mission field where people from many different tongue, tribe, and nation are here to live.

119. 이 미시간에 사시며 여러 민족들을 볼 때 마다 기도하고, 선교합시다.
As we live here in Michigan, let’s pray and share the gospel with people from different nations.

120. 앤아버가 복음화 되도록 기도합시다. (사진 ppt *)
Let’s pray that the gospel will spread in all of Ann Anbor.

121. 스태디움에서 앤아버 연합 찬양대가, 미시간 연합 경배와 찬양팀이 함께 찬양하는 그 날을 기억하며 함께 기도하기를 원합니다.
Let’s pray and dream of a day where we’ll fill the entire Michigan Stadium with all the choirs, praise teams from different churches leading us in worshipping our God.

[7. 마라나타의 신앙, 마라나타의 삶] the seventh goal is this: a Maranatha faith, living in expectation of God’s Return.

122. 11:11 “삼일 반 후에 하나님께로부터 생기가 그들 속에 들어가매 그들이 발로 일어서니 구경하는 자들이 크게 두려워하더라” But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.

123. 주님은 죽으시고 다시 부활 하셨습니다. 영원하신 하나님이십니다.
Our Lord has died and rose back to life! Our God is an eternal God.

124. 그래서 주님은 처음과 나중이시고, 반드시 다시 오십니다.
Our God is the beginning and the end, and He will surely return.

125. 계 22:13 “나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 마지막이요 시작과 마침이라" “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.”

126. 계 22:20 “이것들을 증언하신 이가 이르시되 내가 진실로 속히 오리라 하시거늘 아멘 주 예수여 오시옵소서(마라나타)” “He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus(Maran-Ata).”

127. 여기서 ‘마란’은 Our Lord 이고, ‘아타’는 ‘has come’(오셨다) 혹은 ‘come’(오소서) 라는 뜻입니다.
Here, “Maran” means “Our Lord” and “atha” means “has come” or “come.”

128. 주님은 반드시 오십니다. 왜냐하면 주님은 약속대로 이미 오셨고, 그리고 그 주님은 이미 내 안에 계시기 때문입니다.
Brothers and sisters, Jesus will surely return. Because He already has come as he has promised, and already abides in us.

129. 그 주님을 나의 주님이라고 고백하는 자들은 언제 오시든지 관계없이, 늘 기대하고, 늘 담대하고, 늘 기다립니다.
So those who confess Jesus as their Lord, will always live in confident expectation of his return, no matter when that’s going to be.

130. 그 주님을 나의 주님으로 믿고 의지할 때, 마라나타의 신앙을 가질 때 우리는 소망 가운데, 믿음 가운데 살게 됩니다.
When we believe and rely on this Jesus as my Lord, when we have this Maranatha faith, we can live with our lives with a living Hope.

[묵상 및 기도의 결단] time of reflection and dedication.
131. 이제 초대 교회 성도님들이 엄청난 핍박 속에서도 강력하게 승리했듯이, 우리 또한 새해 요한계시록을 통해 주시는 하나님의 지혜대로 목표를 잡고, 기도제목으로 삼을 때 놀라운 새해가 될 줄 믿습니다.
As the early church Christians have endured and lived faithfully even in great persecution, I believe that we too will be able to experience this ourselves this new year as we hold onto the goals and prayer requests given to us through the Book of Revelation.

132. 7가지 영역을 이제 성령님 의지하면서 나의 삶에 구체적으로 기도하면서 적으시고, 기도하실 때 새해는 참된 승리의 해가 될 줄 믿습니다.
Let’s rely on the Holy Spirit as we reflect on these 7 goals and prayerfully apply them in our lives. I believe that as we pray God will lead us in this new year to be a year of triumph.

133. 함께 묵상하시고, 기도제목을 구체적으로 적으시고, 그리고 기도하는 시간을 갖겠습니다.
Let us take some time to reflect and to write down our prayer requests, and also pray together.
