거룩과 영광의 자리로 초대하시는 주님

“그의 옷자락은 성전에 가득하였고… 거룩하다 거룩하다 거룩하다 

만군의 여호와여 그의 영광이 온 땅에 충만하다 하더라”(이사야 6:1b, 3)

이사야 선지자가 본 환상은 성전 안에서도 가장 안쪽에 위치한 지성소의 모습입니다.  그 곳은 하나님의 영광만 계신 곳이고, 그 영광이 충만할 때, 가장 거룩한 장소가 됩니다.  그래서 ‘거룩하다’라는 표현을 세번이나 반복해서 표현합니다.  

죄인 된 인간이 이 하나님의 영광된 거룩의 장소로 나아가는 것은 결코 허락되지 않았습니다.  왜냐하면 죄(인)가 거룩과 영광의 하나님 앞에 결코 설 수 없기 때문입니다.  

죽음만을 맛 볼 따름입니다.  일년에 한번만 지성소에 들어가는 대제사장도 자신의 죄를 먼저 속하지 않고서는 죽음을 맛 볼 따름이었습니다.

반면에 영적 전쟁이 강력하게 벌어지는 삶의 현장에서 승리할 수 있는 길은 하나님의 거룩과 영광으로 충만할 때 입니다.  그래서, 그 거룩과 영광의 자리로 우리를 이끄시도록 예수님은 자신의 몸을 찢으셨습니다.

내일, 거룩한 주일, 이 땅의 모든 성도가 지성소의 예배를 신령과 진정으로 모두 함께 올려 드리기 원합니다.  그래야 우리는 일주일 내내 삶의 현장에서 치열하게 벌어지는 영적 전쟁의 현장에서 승리할 수 있기 때문입니다.

주님의 이 귀한 초대에 꼭 응답하시기 바랍니다.

The Lord Invites Us to a Place of Holiness and Glory

"The train of his robe filled the temple... 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.'" (Isaiah 6:1b, 3)

The vision seen by the prophet Isaiah depicts the Most Holy Place within the temple, a location exclusively reserved for God's glory. This place becomes the holiest when filled with His glory, hence the thrice-repeated declaration of "holy."

It was never permitted for sinful humans to approach this glorious and holy presence of God, as sin could never stand before the holy and glorious God.

To taste anything but death was impossible. Even the high priest, who entered the Most Holy Place once a year, would face death if he did not atone for his own sins first.

On the other hand, the way to achieve victory in the intense spiritual battles of life is to be filled with God's holiness and glory. Therefore, Jesus tore His body to lead us to this place of holiness and glory.

Tomorrow, on the holy Sunday, all the saints on earth desire to offer worship in spirit and truth within the Most Holy Place together. Only then can we emerge victorious in the fierce spiritual battles we face throughout the week.
