[고난 주간에 가져야 할 묵상에 대한 자세]

 

유대인에게 가장 중요한 명절은 유월절입니다.

The most important festival for the Jews is Passover.

 

애굽의 노예로부터 해방된 날이기 때문입니다.

It marks the day of liberation from slavery in Egypt.

 

그 유월절의 핵심은 어린양, 즉 예수 그리스도 입니다.

At the heart of Passover is the lamb, which signifies Jesus Christ.

 

그리고 어린양을 죽여 자신의 문에 그 피를 바름으로 죄의 심판, 즉 죽음을 면할 수 있었습니다.

By killing the lamb and applying its blood to their doorposts, they could escape the judgment of sin, that is, death.

 

그러나 그 어린양을 죽이기 전에 자신의 집에 양을 정하고 3일 동안 함께 있었습니다.

However, before slaicing the lamb, it was chosen and lived with the family for 3 days.

 

그것은 왜 어린양이 죽어야 했는지, 그 어린양으로 인해 자신들이 어떻게 될지 등을 묵상하기 위함이었습니다.

This was to reflect on why the lamb had to die and how it would affect them.

 

바르게 묵상한 자들은 유월절의 의미를 바르게 이해하고, 진지한 자세로 유월절을 맞이하게 됩니다.

Those who meditated correctly understood the true meaning of Passover and approached it with a serious attitude.

 

저희는 오늘날의 유월절, 즉 우리 위해서 십자가에 돌아가신 성 금요일을 맞이하기 전에 앞으로 며칠 동안 함께 어린양 예수 그리스도를 묵상하기를 원합니다.

We wish to meditate on the Lamb, Jesus Christ, in the days leading up to our modern Passover, that is, before Good Friday, when He was crucified for us.

 

이렇게 진지하게 어린양 예수 그리스도를 묵상할 때, 이번 주 금요일이 단순한 금요일이 아닌 성 금요일, 즉 가장 귀한 ‘좋은 금요일(Good Friday)’를 맞이할 수 있기 때문입니다.

By sincerely meditating on the Lamb, Jesus Christ, this coming Friday will not just be another Friday but will be observed as a Holy Good Friday, a truly ‘Good Friday’.

 

어린양 예수 그리스도를 함께 귀하게 묵상하는 귀한 이번 한 주간, 그리고 오늘 되시기를 기도 드립니다.

We pray that this week, as we cherish the meditation on the Lamb, Jesus Christ, becomes a precious time for us all.

 

[고난주간 첫째날 묵상]

[본문] 빌 2:4-8

4. 각각 자기 일을 돌아 볼뿐더러 또한 각각 다른 사람들의 일을 돌보아 나의 기쁨을 충만하게 하라

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5. 너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

6. 그는 근본 하나님의 본체시나 하나님과 동등됨을 취할 것으로 여기지 아니하시고

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

7. 오히려 자기를 비워 종의 형체를 가지사 사람들과 같이 되셨고

but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

8. 사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!

 

[제목] 주님의 마음 품기

[Title] Embracing the Heart of the Lord

 

오늘 본문에 각각 자기 일을 돌아 보라고 하십니다.

Today's scripture tells us to reflect on our own work.

 

이번 한 주간 우리 자신을 깊게 돌아보기를 원합니다.

This week, I wish for us to deeply reflect on ourselves.

 

나 자신의 동기나 목표, 나의 삶의 자세 등을 돌아보기를 원합니다.

I wish for us to look back on our motives and goals, the attitude of our lives.

 

남들이 잘 보지 못하는 나의 깊은 내면도 돌아보기를 원합니다.

I also wish for us to examine the depths of our inner selves that others may not see well.

 

심지어 나 자신도 잘 보지 못하는 나의 깊은 자아도 돌아보면 좋겠습니다.

It would be good to even look into the deep self that even I may not see well.

 

그래야 진실한 삶을 살아갈 수 있습니다.

Only then can we live a truthful life.

 

이렇게 제대로 돌아 보기 위해서는 한가지 단서가 있습니다.

To properly reflect like this, there is one clue.

 

그것은 돌아봄, 즉 평가의 기준이 있어야 한다는 것입니다.

It's that there needs to be a standard for reflection, meaning a criterion for evaluation.

 

기준점이 있어야 좌, 우를 구분할 수 있듯이, 제대로 보고, 평가하기 위해서는 기준점이 있어야 합니다.

Just as you need a reference point to distinguish left from right, you need a standard to properly see and evaluate.

 

성경은 그 기준점을 ‘예수 그리스도’라고 말씀하십니다.

The Bible tells us that this standard is 'Jesus Christ.'

 

그래서 자기 일을 돌아보아야 하는데, 그 기준점은 바로 ‘너희 안에 그리스도의 마음을 품는 것’이다 라고 하십니다.

Therefore, when reflecting on our work, that standard is precisely 'having the mind of Christ within you.'

그리스도만이 전 인류의 역사를 BC 와 AD로 나누시는 분이시기 때문입니다.

Because Christ alone is the one who divides the entire history of mankind into BC and AD.

 

그리스도만이 영벌에서 영생으로 인도하시는 분이시기 때문입니다.

Because Christ alone is the one who leads from eternal punishment to eternal life.

 

그리스도만이 죄에서 의로 인도하시는 분이시기 때문입니다.

Because Christ alone is the one who leads from sin to righteousness.

 

그리스도만이 죽음에서 생명으로 인도하시는 분이시기 때문입니다.

Because Christ alone is the one who leads from death to life.

 

그리스도 이전의 세상은 ‘높은 곳으로 가는 것이 옳다’ 하였지만, 그리스도는 낮은 곳으로 오셨습니다.

Before Christ, the world said, "It is right to go to a higher place," but Christ came to the lowest place.

 

그리고 가장 낮은 곳, 가장 천한 종의 모습을 가지셨습니다.

He took on the very nature of the lowest servant.

 

그리고 자신을 완전히 비우는 십자가의 죽음으로 가셨습니다.

And He went to the death of the cross, completely emptying Himself.

 

세상은 더 높은 곳으로, 더 많이 얻는 곳으로 가라고 하지만,

The world tells us to go to higher places, to places where more can be gained,

 

주님은 더 낮은 곳으로, 더 나눠주는 곳으로 가셨습니다.

But the Lord went to lower places, to places where He could give more.

 

그 길이 바른 길이기에, 그 길이 살리는 길이기에, 그 길이 우리의 삶에 회복되어야 하는 길이기에…

Because that path is the right path, because it is the path that brings life, because it is the path that must be restored in our lives...

 

나 자신을 돌아보는 유일한 기준은 오직 ‘예수 그리스도 한 분 뿐’입니다.

The only standard for reflecting on myself is solely 'Jesus Christ alone.'

 

십자가의 예수님 이십니다.

It is Jesus Christ of the cross.

 

이 길만이 참된 기준입니다. 

This path alone is the true standard.

 

참된 기준을 붙잡아야, 바른 길을 갈 수 있습니다.

By holding onto the true standard, we can follow the right path.

 

이 기준으로 가는 길 만이, 마귀와 죄의 권세를 이기는 유일한 길입니다.

This path, guided by this standard, is the only way to overcome the power of the devil and sin.

 

그래서 예수님은 승리의 행진을 예루살렘을 향하여 행하셨습니다.

Therefore, Jesus marched toward Jerusalem in victory.

 

그러나 엄청난 군사를 이끌고, 강하고 훌륭한 말을 타고 개선장군처럼 행진하시지 않으셨습니다.

However, He did not march like a conquering general leading a tremendous army, riding a strong and magnificent horse.

 

작은 나귀새끼 한마리 타고 입성하셨습니다.

He entered riding on a young donkey.

 

우리는 작은 나귀 새끼가 되어서 주님과 함께 이 길을 가야 합니다.

We must become like this young donkey, walking this path together with the Lord.

 

이 나귀 새끼는 가장 작지만, 가장 강한 분을 모시고 나아가는 가장 영광된 길을 걸어 갔습니다.

This young donkey, though smallest, walked the most glorious path, carrying the strongest One.

 

[합심기도] 

첫째, 나 자신을 돌아 보는 기도:

First, a prayer of self-reflection:

 

이 시간, 지금까지의 나 자신을 한번 돌아보는 시간을 갖겠습니다. 

In this moment, we will take some time to reflect on ourselves up to now.

 

남들이 모르는 나의 깊은 내면을 한번 돌아보는 시간을 갖겠습니다. 

We will take a moment to look deep within ourselves, in places unknown to others.

 

돌아보는 기준은 바로 예수님의 마음입니다. 

The standard for this reflection is the heart of Jesus.

 

십자가까지 낮아지신, 그것도 자신을 위해서가 아니라 여러분과 저를 위해 죽으신 그 주님의 마음을 기준으로 삼으면서 나 자신을 돌아보는 시간을 갖겠습니다.

We will reflect on ourselves based on the heart of the Lord who humbled Himself to the point of the cross, not for Himself but for all of you and for me.

 

 

둘째, 나의 삶에 주님만 드러나기를 원하는 기도:

Second, a prayer wishing only the Lord to be revealed in my life:

 

우리는 나귀입니다.  그런데 착각할 때가 많습니다. 

We are but donkeys. However, there are many times we are mistaken.

 

주님을 모시고 가는데 자칫 사람들이 나를 환호하는 것처럼 착각할 때가 많습니다. 

There are many times when, as we carry the Lord, we mistakenly think people are cheering for us.

 

내가 아니라 내가 모시고 가는 주님의 영광을 내가 가리지 않도록…

To ensure it is not I but the glory of the Lord I am carrying that is not obscured...

 

나의 삶에 주님만 드러나도록 기도하겠습니다.

I will pray that only the Lord is revealed in my life.

 

 

셋째, 주님처럼 낮은 곳으로 가는 기도:

Third, a prayer to go to the lower places like the Lord:

 

주님께서 나귀 타고 가신 곳은 왕궁이 아니었습니다. 

The place where the Lord rode a donkey to was not a palace.

 

골고다 언덕이었습니다. 

It was Golgotha, a place of the skull.

 

가장 낮은 곳이었습니다. 

It was the lowest place.

 

내 주위에 마음이 어려운 분들, 몸이 약한 분들, 관계가 어려운 분들, 경제적으로 어려운 분들,

Thinking of each individual around me who is troubled in heart, weak in body, struggling in relationships, facing financial difficulties,

 

복음을 몰라서 가장 어둡게 사는 분들…

and living in the darkest because they do not know the Gospel...

 

한 분 한 분 생각하며 주님의 마음으로 그들에게 다가가는 기도를 드리겠습니다.

I will pray, with the heart of the Lord, to reach out to them.

 

[마무리 기도]

하늘 보좌를 버리시고 가장 낮은 곳으로 오신 주님

Lord, who left Your heavenly throne and came to the lowest place,

 

여기 앉은 저희들 마음 깊숙한 곳에까지 오신 주님

Lord, who has reached into the deepest part of our hearts as we sit here,

 

그리고 ‘너가 많이 수고하였다… 그 짐을 이제 내게 맡기라’고 말씀하시는 주님

And Lord, who says, “You have toiled much... Now, entrust your burdens to me,”

 

그 주님의 손을 이제 잡습니다.

Now, I grasp Your hand.

 

그 주님께 저의 짐을 내려 놓습니다.

I lay down my burdens before You.

 

주님께서 해결하여 주실 줄 믿습니다.

I believe You will resolve them.

 

주님의 평안으로 채워 주소서

Fill me with Your peace,

 

나를 위해 십자가에서 죽기까지 하신 사랑하는 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도 드립니다.

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who loved us so much that He died on the cross for us.

 

아멘!
