[Haiti Mission Update: Visit of Missionary Kim Seung-don to Michigan & Mission Offering Delivery]
On Monday (4/8), Missionary Kim Seung-don and his wife from Haiti, who are currently staying in the United States due to the situation in Haiti, suddenly visited Michigan.
So, on Tuesday evening, we had a brief meeting with Elder Kim Man-hoe, who recently returned from a short-term mission trip to Haiti, Elder Lee Ki-cheol, Brother Lee Kang-sung, and Pastor Joseph Bae at our church. We also heard updates about Haiti and delivered the mission offering.
1. Current situation in Haiti: There is social unrest due to conflicts between gangs. Please pray for this situation. Despite this, the youth center where the missionaries serve is relatively safe without major incidents. Even in such circumstances, they plan to continue their mission work, including evangelism efforts.
2. Mission offering delivery: The amount of $1,500, which was raised through fundraising efforts such as making "5 Breads 2 Fishes" mascot dolls by the women's Bible study group on Tuesdays at our church, and contribution from one of our church families, was delivered for the production and distribution of New Testament Bible vesse memory books for orphaned children and youth in Haiti, as prayed for. Missionary Kim expressed his gratitude for the generous support.
Thank you. Please continue to pray
