Hello!

My name is Maya McEntyre and I am the Community Engagement Intern for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF) for the 2024 season. We are currently gearing up for our return to Top of the Park for the 2024 season, which will run from June 14-June 30, and we would love to have Hope Church volunteer with us this year!

I’m reaching out to let you know about the volunteer opportunities we have at the festival, and how your church can get involved. I also attached a flyer with some more details for both our Greeter and Festival Footprint volunteer positions in addition to the descriptions below:

GREETERS AT TOP OF THE PARK

5-7:45 PM; 7:15-10:00 PM

Greeters serve as the first-line welcome for visitors entering Top of the Park. Responsibilities include answering questions, giving directions, distributing calendars, collecting donations, and, most of all, making our guests feel welcome! Greeters typically work in pairs, so it’s a great opportunity to meet new people or volunteer with a friend.

FESTIVAL FOOTPRINT INITIATIVE

5-7:00 PM; 6:45-8:45 PM

Join A2SF in our commitment to becoming a zero-waste event by 2025! As a Festival Footprint volunteer, you will ensure guests use our three-stream waste stations effectively. You will help in guiding the disposal of waste when guests are ready to toss out their compost, recyclables, or landfill items. Note that Festival Footprint volunteers do NOT actually touch trash! Your help in this role is essential to our mission of sustainability.

Volunteers can sign up as a team for both Greeters and Festival Footprint volunteers. If you are signing up as part of a team, please include the team name in parentheses after your name. Ex: Justin Levine (Ann Arbor Summer Festival). If you are signing up multiple slots for your whole team, please list your team name instead of your name. Ex: Ann Arbor Summer Festival.
