[말씀묵상 366 / 사도행전 24] 행 10:34-48 (052424) "오늘 나는 누구를 증거 할 것인가...?"

하루 하루가 참으로 귀하고 소중합니다.  나의 삶을 위해서도 중요하지만, 만나는 모든 분들의 영혼, 영생의 삶을 생각하면 오늘 주어진 하루가 너무나 소중합니다.  가장 소중한 것을 나누어야 참으로 의미있는 삶이 되기 때문입니다.

베드로가 이방인 고넬료를 만났을 때 그가 소개한 것은 '화평의 복음'이었습니다(34-38).  왜 화평의 복음이라고 표현했을까요?  '화평'이라는 표현은 관계적 표현입니다.  자기 자신을 잘 인정하고, 받아 들이고, 내면 갈등이 없는 것은 자기 자신과의 화평이라 할 수 있습니다.

다른 사람과의 갈등이 없을 때 실은 행복한 삶을 삽니다.  무엇 보다도 존재와 창조의 근원되시는 하나님과의 관계가 회복 되었을 때, 그것이 참된 의미의 구원이고, 진정한 행복과 능력의 삶을 시작하게 됩니다.  

자신과의 관계, 남들과의 관계, 그리고 절대자이신 하나님과의 관계가 회복되는 것은 바로 예수 그리스도의 십자가 때문에 가능한 것입니다.  그래서 예수님은 스스로 화목제물이 되셨습니다. 

그래서 베드로는 화평의 복음을 얘기하면서 예수 그리스도를 증거합니다(21-29).  그가 소개한 예수 그리스도의 십자가에는 그 분의 성육신, 십자가 대속의 죽음, 그 이후에 보여 주신 부활의 능력, 그리고 자신이 경험한 예수님의 승천, 그리고 다시 오시겠다는 약속이라는 5가지가 모두 담겨져 있습니다.

예수 그리스도의 5가지 사역(성육신, 대속, 부활, 승천, 재림)에는 가장 강력한 은혜, 사랑, 능력, 소망 등 죄인된 인간이 의지해야 할 모든 것이 다 담겨져 있습니다.  그리고 이 예수 그리스도를 의지하고 영접했을 때, 그 속에 놀라운 기쁜 소식, 즉 복음의 능력이 다 담겨져 있습니다.

그 예수를 그리스도로 영접했을 때 당연히 공적 고백의 표식으로 세례를 받는 것은 당연합니다(44-48).  

베드로는 이 예수 그리스도를 의지하고, 영접함으로 자신의 한계와 물질 주의 욕심과 세속 권력 및 이념의 제약성 등을 다 뛰어 넘을 수 있었습니다.  고넬료는 그 예수 그리스도를 온전히 전달받고, 그 분을 의지함으로 복음이 온 인류를 향한 유일한 기쁜 소식이라는 것을 제일 먼저 체험한 사람이 되었습니다.

그 복음은 오늘을 살아가는 모든 크리스챤들에게도 강력하게 역사합니다.  분열과 미움이 많은 이 현대 세상에도 유일한 길이요, 진리요, 생명입니다.  그래서 '오직 예수!'를 온 몸과 온 삶으로 증거하며 오늘도 살아야 합니다.

이웃을 내 몸처럼 사랑하게 되고, 원수까지도 사랑하게 되는 그 '기쁜 소식'을 매 순간 누리며, 흘러 넘치는 그 사랑을 나누며 살아가는 가장 귀하고 복된 삶을 오늘도 기쁘게 살아가기를 원합니다.

그래서 오늘이라고 주어진 하루가 너무나 소중합니다.

나에게도...

내가 만나는 모든 사람에게도...

복음 때문에...

"Who Will I Testify About Today...?"

Each day is truly precious and valuable. It is important not only for my life but also for the souls and eternal lives of everyone I meet. Sharing the most important thing makes life truly meaningful.

When Peter met the Gentile Cornelius, what he introduced was the "Gospel of Peace" (verses 34-38). Why is it called the Gospel of Peace? The term "peace" is relational. When one acknowledges and accepts oneself and has no inner conflict, it can be said to be peace with oneself.

When there is no conflict with others, one leads a truly happy life. Most importantly, when one's relationship with God, the source of existence and creation, is restored, it signifies true salvation and the beginning of a life filled with genuine happiness and power.

The restoration of relationships with oneself, with others, and with God is possible only because of the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus became the peace offering Himself.

Thus, Peter, while talking about the Gospel of Peace, testified about Jesus Christ (verses 21-29). The cross of Jesus Christ that he introduced includes five aspects: His incarnation, His atoning death on the cross, the power of His resurrection, His ascension, and the promise of His return.

These five works of Jesus Christ (incarnation, atonement, resurrection, ascension, and return) encompass the most powerful grace, love, power, hope, and all that sinful humans need to rely on. When we rely on and receive Jesus Christ, the remarkable good news and the power of the gospel are all contained within Him.

When one accepts Jesus as the Christ, it is natural to receive baptism as a public declaration of faith (verses 44-48).

By relying on and receiving Jesus Christ, Peter was able to overcome his limitations, materialistic desires, secular power, and ideological constraints. Cornelius, by fully receiving Jesus Christ and relying on Him, became the first person to experience that the gospel is the only good news for all humanity.

This gospel continues to work powerfully for all Christians living today. Even in this modern world filled with division and hatred, Jesus remains the only way, the truth, and the life. Therefore, we must live testifying with our whole being and entire life to "Only Jesus!"

May we love our neighbors as ourselves, even loving our enemies, and joyfully live today, sharing the overflowing love of the good news.

Thus, the day given to us today is so precious.
