(이사야 17:1-14)
어떤 역경과 곤란의 상황 가운데에서도(1-3) 끝까지 믿음을 지키는 자를 남겨 두시는(4-6) 그 하나님께 교회와 성도는 ‘계속’ 시선을 두어야 합니다(7-8).
그러나 자칫 고난과 연단의 과정이 지나갔을 때 구원의 하나님을 잊어버리고 이방신을 다시 의지하기 쉬움 또한 기억해야 합니다(9-11).
이로 인하여 하나님의 심판이 강력하게 임하게 될 것입니다. 그러나 그러한 때에도 기억해야 할 것입니다. 하나님께서 심판을 행하심은 회복시키기 위함 임을…
결국 성도는 어떤 상황 속에서도(좋은 상황, 나쁜 상황, 어려운 상황 등) 여호와 하나님’만’을 ‘계속’ 바라 보아야 합니다.

Even in the midst of hardship and adversity (vv. 1–3), God preserves a remnant who remain faithful to Him until the end (vv. 4–6). Therefore, the church and every believer must continue to keep their eyes fixed on Him (vv. 7–8).
However, we must also remember how easy it is, after seasons of suffering and refinement have passed, to forget the God of our salvation and once again place our trust in the idols of this world (vv. 9–11).
Because of this, God's judgment will come powerfully. Yet even in times of judgment, we must remember that His purpose is ultimately restoration.
In the end, regardless of our circumstances—whether good, difficult, or painful—we must continue to look to the LORD alone.
