무슬림을 위한 30일 기도운동 소개

"무슬림을 위한 30일 기도운동"은 본래 1992년 중동 지역 그리스도인 지도자 모임에서 시작되었습니다. 이 지도자들은 무슬림 세계를 위한 기도에 더 많은 그리스도인을 동참하게 하는 일이 하나님의 강력한 부르심임을 느꼈습니다. 그래서 이슬람의 라마단 금식월 기간에 기도 운동을 진행하게 된 것입니다.

라마단이란 이슬람 음력으로 9월의 명칭입니다. 이 기간 동안 이슬람의 신자인 무슬림들이 낮에 해가 뜰 때부터 질 때까지 신앙의 의무로 금식하며 하루에 다섯 번 기도를 합니다.

그리스도인들은 이 기간에 오히려 무슬림들이 예수그리스도를 만나고 이슬람 세계가 변화되도록 ‘무슬림을 위한 30일 기도’를 진행하는 것입니다. 라마단 금식월 기간에 진행되어야 하는 데는 두 가지 이유가 있습니다. 첫째, 일 년에 한 번 특정기간 동안 무슬림의 마음으로 기도할 수 있는 특별한 기회이기 때문입니다. 둘째, 무슬림의 특별한 종교 행사 기간에 하나님의 무한한 능력이 임하도록 간구하기 위해서입니다. 그렇다고 이 기도 운동이 무슬림의 금식과 기도 관습을 그대로 따르는 것은 아닙니다. 또한 이슬람식 사고와 신학과 종교 방식에 동의하지도 않습니다.

‘무슬림을 위한 30일 기도’는 무슬림을 향한 하나님의 사랑에 중점을 둡니다. 또한 무슬림을 겸손과 사랑의 마음, 존중과 섬김의 자세로 대할 것을 장려합니다. 이렇게 하나님의 마음으로 무슬림들을 대하고 기도할 때 하나님의 역사하심이 곳곳에서 일어나고 있습니다.

올해는 8월 1일부터 30일까지 한 달간 진행됩니다. 20회를 맞이하는 이 시점에 북아프리카와 중동지역의 급격한 변화들이 일어나고 있습니다. 전 세계 수천만 명이 이 기도운동에 동참하고 있는 세계 최대의 단일 기도운동에 여러분께서 동참하여 이슬람 세계의 영적인 변화의 주인공이 되시기 바랍니다.

“하나님이여 민족들이 주를 찬송하게 하시며 모든 민족으로 주를 찬송하게 하소서”(시 67:5).

When Is It?

The dates coincide with Ramadan: 1 - 30 August 2011. Ramadan is a great way to “pin” a prayer movement on something Christians can understand and relate to, literally the Islamic calendar month called Ramadan. During Ramadan Muslims are fasting (from sunrise to sunset) and often much more open to spiritual realities. We receive many testimonies of Muslims turning to Christ during Ramadan.

Practical and Spiritual

With helpful articles such as, "Helping Muslims discover the living Messiah," Christians not only have the spiritual tools to pray for Muslims but practical tools to reach Muslims too.
