Dr. Paula Seo Organ Concert 2-28
On February 28, 2010, PAULA SEO returns to Ypsilanti to play a fun and family-oriented concert, featuring several familiar works for organ by Bach, Vierne, Gigout, and Widor. Also being performed is George Akerley's Sweet for Mother Goose, which won the Holtkamp-AGO Composition Award in 2004. Seo, who currently serves as Music Director at Living Word Korean Church in Milpitas, California, was Organist and Music Director at First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti for 7 years beginning in 2000. She graduated in 2003 with a doctoral degree in Organ Performance, under Robert Glasgow, from the University of Michigan.
Friend and singer Claire Derks will provide the narration for George Akerley's piece.
