I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA but also lived in Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University and first felt a call to ministry then, but I wanted to take my time to really wrestle through the call. I worked for one of the Washtenaw County government offices and served at Living Grace Ministry (LGM) for 3 years to test this calling. After taking that time, I took a step of faith and started to attend Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI to first pursue a Master’s of Divinity degree though I recently changed programs to pursue an MA in Christian Ministry. After serving 2 more years at LGM, I decided to accept a call to ministry as the Youth Pastor here at Hope Church. 

My passion in ministry is how we can think biblically and theologically with humility on different social issues in the United States like ethnicity/race, sexuality, politics, and culture at large. I also am passionate for reconciliation and connection between all generations of Korean and Korean-Americans in the church and in general. Because of this, I find youth ministry to be an appropriate place to serve as they often have to wrestle with these issues. My eventual goal is to fight human trafficking in a pastoral and/or rehabilitative role in a ministry.
